According to Gold Apollo founder Hsu Ching-Kuang, the pagers that exploded were made in Europe, and Hezbollah militants use pagers as a means of communication.

A Lebanese source claims that the Mossad modified Hezbollah devices to contain explosives. “The Mossad embedded a circuit board with explosive material in the device that receives a code. It is very difficult to detect by any means. Even with any device or scanner,” the source said.
