The export of Ukrainian IT services continues to grow, and for Israel, this statistic is particularly indicative. According to preliminary data from the National Bank of Ukraine, in January–March 2026, Ukraine sold computer services abroad for $1.64 billion.

This is not just another line in an economic report. For the Israeli market, such figures mean that Ukrainian IT teams remain part of the international technology chain even during war, missile strikes, mobilization, energy disruptions, and constant business pressure.

.......

Israel ranked among the top five largest buyers of Ukrainian IT services. In the first quarter of 2026, the volume of computer services exported from Ukraine to Israel amounted to $67 million.

Ukrainian IT export grew by almost 5% in the first quarter of 2026

In January–March 2026, the export of Ukrainian computer services reached $1.64 billion. This is 4.7% more than in the same period of 2025, when the figure was $1.57 billion.

In monetary terms, the growth amounted to $74 million.

For Ukraine’s economy, this is an important signal. The IT sector remains one of the key sources of foreign exchange earnings and continues to operate in the global market despite military risks and instability.

The share of IT in service exports has hardly changed

At the same time, the overall role of IT in Ukrainian service exports remains practically at the same level. In the first quarter of 2025, the share of computer services was 42.6%, and in the first quarter of 2026, it was 42.5%.

That is, the sector is not just growing on its own. It maintains its weight in the overall structure of Ukrainian service exports.

For Israel, this is important also because Ukrainian specialists have long been integrated into international technological processes: development, product support, cybersecurity, fintech, outsourcing, startup infrastructure, corporate solutions.

March was the strongest month of the quarter

Ukraine received the largest revenue from IT service exports in March 2026 — $592 million.

.......

This is 8.8% more than in February. In February, the figure was $544 million, and in January — $508 million.

The monthly dynamics look like this:

MonthExport of IT services, million dollarsChange from the previous month
January508
February544+7,1%
March592+8,8%

Growth within the quarter shows that the demand for Ukrainian IT services did not decline, but rather increased from month to month.

Against the backdrop of war, this is especially noticeable. Russian strikes on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure, energy, and cities did not stop the work of the sector, which depends on stable communication, electricity, specialists, and the trust of foreign clients.

Why this is important for the Israeli market

Israel understands well the value of technological resilience. The local economy itself lives under constant threat, military expenses, mobilization pressure, and the high role of defense technologies.

Therefore, Ukrainian IT export is of interest to Israel not only as a business service. It is also an example of how a country under attack continues to supply complex intellectual products to external markets.

In the middle of this story is not only statistics but also a broader context of Ukrainian-Israeli relations. NANews — Israel News | Nikk.Agency views such data as part of a larger picture: Ukraine remains a technological partner for Israel, and Israel continues to be among the notable clients of the Ukrainian IT sector.

Israel in the top five largest buyers of Ukrainian IT services

As of January–March 2026, the largest market for Ukrainian IT services remains the USA. American clients accounted for $615 million.

Next are Malta, the United Kingdom, Cyprus, and Israel.

CountryVolume of IT service exports from Ukraine
USA$615 million
Malta$145 million
United Kingdom$122 million
Cyprus$118 million
Israel$67 million

For Israel, the amount of $67 million per quarter is not a random episode. It shows a steady interest in Ukrainian developers, engineering teams, and service companies.

.......

Ukrainian IT has long been perceived as a strong resource for companies needing experienced specialists, flexible teams, and competitive development costs. In Israel, where the technology sector is one of the foundations of the economy, such a partnership channel has practical significance.

What stands behind this figure

Behind the $67 million export to Israel are not abstract ‘services,’ but specific work: programming, testing, system support, platform development, cloud solutions, analytics, technical consulting.

That is why this news is important not only for the Ukrainian economy. It also concerns Israeli business, which continues to use Ukrainian expertise despite the complex situation in the region and the war in Ukraine.

For Ukraine, it is foreign exchange earnings, jobs, and proof of trust from foreign clients.

For Israel — access to a strong technological market that has not lost its professional form even in extreme conditions.

The bottom line is simple: Ukrainian IT export in the first quarter of 2026 grew, and Israel remained among the key markets. Against the backdrop of war, global competition, and instability, this looks like a serious indicator of the resilience of the Ukrainian technology sector and the practical connection between Ukraine and Israel.
