In April 2026, Ukraine sharply strengthened its position in the global egg market and showed one of the highest monthly results in the past five years. According to the Union of Poultry Farmers of Ukraine, 205.7 million eggs were exported in a month for a total of 22.6 million dollars.

This is the second highest figure in a five-year period. The only higher figure was in March 2026, when Ukrainian egg exports reached 216.2 million units for a total of 24 million dollars.

Ukrainian eggs are in demand again: what the numbers show

Comparing April 2026 with April 2025, the export volume increased by almost 40%. In monetary terms, the growth was even more noticeable: revenue from supplies exceeded last year’s April figure by about 60%.

At the same time, April slightly lagged behind March 2026. The decline compared to the previous month was 4.8%, but even considering this, the result remains one of the strongest in recent years.

In the first four months of 2026, Ukraine exported 785.2 million eggs for a total of 88.6 million dollars. This is 22% more in physical volume and 72% more in monetary terms than in the same period last year.

Israel in the export structure: why it matters

The main buyers of Ukrainian eggs from January to April 2026 were the countries of the European Union. They accounted for 74% of Ukrainian exports.

Among individual destinations, Spain leads with 27.4%. Next are the United Kingdom with a share of 14.2% and Poland with 10.6%.

Israel also became one of the notable buyers of Ukrainian products. Its share was 7.7%, making the Israeli market an important part of Ukraine’s export geography in this segment.

For the Israeli audience, this figure is interesting not only as agricultural statistics. It shows that trade ties between Israel and Ukraine retain practical significance even against the backdrop of war, unstable logistics, and constant changes in food markets.

Ukraine strengthens agricultural exports, Israel remains in the supply chain

The egg market is sensitive to price, logistics, sanitary requirements, and supply stability. Therefore, Israel’s inclusion in the list of notable buyers of Ukrainian products indicates that Ukrainian producers continue to maintain the trust of external markets.

In the middle of this picture, it is important to see not only dry numbers but also a broader context. NAnews — Israel News | Nikk.Agency points out: for Israel, Ukrainian agricultural exports are part of a real economic connection with Ukraine, not just a topic of diplomatic statements or political news.

Record March and strong April: the trend continues

March 2026 was a record for the past five years: Ukraine exported 216.2 million eggs for a total of 24 million dollars. The April figure was slightly lower but still confirmed steady demand.

This dynamic is especially indicative against the backdrop of war and pressure on the Ukrainian economy. Ukraine remains a major agricultural player, and its products continue to find buyers in Europe, the United Kingdom, Israel, and other destinations.

For Israel, this is another example of how the Ukrainian economy, despite blows and restrictions, remains integrated into regional and international food chains.

What this means for the market

The growth of monetary revenue faster than the growth of physical volume may indicate a more favorable pricing environment, a change in the supply structure, or increased demand in external markets.

The main conclusion is simple: egg exports from Ukraine in 2026 demonstrate a strong start, and Israel occupies a separate and notable place in this picture.

Against the backdrop of overall instability in food markets, such data is no less important than political news. They show where real connections are maintained, who buys Ukrainian products, and how the economy continues to work even under the conditions of a major war.
