According to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), the United States will continue to send more than $750 million in ammunition to Saudi Arabia, lifting a ban that was put in place in 2022. President Joe Biden imposed the embargo over concerns that Saudi forces would use American weapons against civilians in Yemen.
The embargo has caused tensions between the countries and limited Saudi Arabia's military resources in the fight against the Houthis. According to the WSJ, the shipment includes 3,000 small-diameter bombs and 7,500 Paveway IV bombs. The shipments are intended to strengthen relations between the countries and give the United States additional options in the region.

The region's military conflicts are also being complicated by Houthi attacks on international shipping lanes in the Red Sea, posing new challenges for the administration.
