The Israeli government plans to approve additional funding of about NIS 3 billion due to the protracted war. The finance minister has proposed a legislative initiative that includes funding for hotel accommodation for residents of the northern areas, support for reservists and the implementation of the recommendations of the October 7 Victims Committee.

NIS 2.7 billion will be used to pay for the accommodation of evacuees in hotels until the end of the year. It will also provide compensation for job losses and assistance in returning to work, including the costs of evacuations carried out earlier.

In addition, NIS 200 million is planned to be allocated to expand the reservists support program, among which those who have been on the front lines for ten months or more will continue to receive support. It is important to note that, according to the Finance Minister, the additional spending should not increase the budget deficit, maintaining the country's stable economic situation.
