It is possible to resume flights to Ukraine without waiting for the end of the war

Co-owner of Novaya Poshta Vyacheslav Klimov expressed his opinion on the need to open air traffic. According to him, after coordination with the air defense and air forces, as well as flight insurance, it will be possible to safely begin air travel.

The owner of the company also noted that he expects the opening of airspace and believes that even in the presence of hostilities, cargo and passenger flights can begin to operate, citing the example of Israel, where, despite the shelling, the whole world flies to Tel Aviv.

Supernova Airlines was founded in 2021 by businessmen Vladimir Popereshnyuk and Vyacheslav Klimov. In May 2023, the company operated its first flight on the route Riga – Rzeszow – Riga in cooperation with the Latvian airline RAF-Avia on an ATR 72 aircraft. In October 2024, Nova Poshta entered the Dutch market, becoming the sixteenth country where the company has expanded.

Supernova Airlines recently received permission from EASA to operate flights in Europe and permission from the State Aviation Service to operate regular flights to Lviv and Kyiv. This will allow air transportation to begin immediately after the opening of the skies over Ukraine. At the beginning of 2024, the Nova Poshta group of companies changed its name to NOVA, continuing to operate in the Ukrainian market since 2001 under the leadership of Vyacheslav Klimov and Vladimir Popereshnyuk.
