On the eve of the visit of the American special envoy to Lebanon, Israel conveyed its plan for resolving the conflict with Hezbollah.
According to Reuters, US special envoy Amos Hochstein will arrive in Beirut on October 21 for possible ceasefire talks. Axios also reports that Israel has handed the White House a plan for a diplomatic solution to the war with Hezbollah.
Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer sent the document to Hochstein on Thursday, October 17. Israel put forward two demands: maintaining the right to military operations in southern Lebanon and control of air forces over Lebanese territory.
An unnamed US official doubts that Lebanon and the international community will accept Israel's terms.
