Media reported that the march, organized by the National Will Platform with the participation of about 400 non-governmental organizations, took place after morning prayers in mosques.
Participants in the event lit torches, carried Turkish and Palestinian flags, and held signs demanding “stop genocide in Gaza” in different languages. A banner with an appeal was hung in the center of the Galata Bridge. Citizens chanted slogans and held Islamic prayers, while various humanitarian organizations offered food and drinks to participants.
Police provided security on the bridge and at the mosque, TRT Haber reported.
“Murderer Israel will be brought to justice” and “Martyrs do not die” were the slogans at the event.
The march attracted thousands of participants and was held under the motto “Jerusalem is ours.”
