Labor Party leader Yair Golan has sharply criticized Prime Minister Netanyahu, saying that the security situation in Israel represents a failure of the government and the Zionist idea. Despite military operations in the country, the threat from Hezbollah has not diminished due to the protracted conflict in the south.
Golan believes that both the southern and northern fronts are in a critical state due to government mistakes and the lack of effective security measures. He expressed the opinion that a deal on the release of hostages is necessary as a step towards ending the hostilities, starting from the south and ending in the north. One of Golan's main demands is that Israel leave the Philadelphia Corridor as the source of the conflict.
In his manifesto, Yair Golan also denounced the delay in returning the hostages as cruel treatment of the country's citizens. He stressed that a ceasefire in the south would lead to an improvement in the situation in the north and allow the border to be retaken. In conclusion, he expressed his alarm at the ineffectiveness of the state's plans and strategies, calling for immediate action.
