The US is preparing to attack Israel. Ten F/A-18 fighters have arrived at a military base in the Middle East from the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt.
They are designed to protect Israel from possible attacks by Iran and its allies, the Times of Israel reported, citing a US official.
U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has beefed up his military presence in the region amid rising violence in the Middle East, following the killings of senior Hezbollah commanders in Lebanon and the Hamas political leader in Iran. The ground-based U.S. Navy aircraft are to be temporary, with F-22 fighters from Alaska to arrive later.
