UN peacekeepers promised the Syrians a quick retreat of Israeli troops

According to Syrian sources, UN peacekeeping troops have returned to their positions in Daraa province, which have controlled the troop line in the Golan Heights since 1974. A convoy of UN troops visited several Arab villages after they abandoned positions in Daraa a week ago.

The UNDOF command informed the local Arab population of the IDF's intention to leave the occupied territory in the coming days.
