Turkey is set to seek formal accession to a genocide case brought by South Africa against Israel at the International Court of Justice in The Hague. Turkey has criticized Israel for bombing Gaza in its war on Hamas, a designated terrorist organization.

Turkish President Erdogan supports the Palestinian cause and condemns Israel for its “barbarity” and its intention to continue its policy of mass murder. The International Court of Justice has called on Israel to take measures during the offensive to prevent genocide and ensure food supplies for the people of Gaza.
