The Ukrainian-Jewish Literary Prize plays an important role in strengthening mutual understanding between the Ukrainian and Jewish peoples.

It supports the multinational identity of Ukraine and encourages literary works that highlight the shared history and culture of the two nations. Awards for such works contribute to a better understanding and integration of historical experience in the modern context, which is especially important in the context of global and local conflicts. The award encourages authors and publishers to create works that help preserve and develop cultural ties.
