US officials say Israel has narrowed its attack targets in response to Iran's recent attack on military and energy infrastructure, NBC reported on October 12.
According to informed US sources, there is no indication that Israel intends to attack nuclear facilities or carry out assassination attempts. At the same time, it is indicated that Israel has not yet made a final decision on how and when to act.
Israel has repeatedly said it would respond to Iran's Oct. 1 missile attack in retaliation for Israeli strikes in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip and for the killing of the leader of Hamas, designated a terrorist group by the United States and the European Union.
