The United States gave the Israeli army several weeks to complete the operation in Lebanon.

According to ITV Channel 12, IDF infantry units will withdraw from the territory of the neighboring state in a few weeks, and active military operations against Hezbollah will cease.

The IDF's stay in Lebanon is strictly limited, which was established by the Washington administration.

In recent days, the IDF has been actively searching for Hezbollah strongholds in southern Lebanon, destroying underground tunnels, rocket launchers and weapons depots. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin expressed condolences to his Israeli counterpart Yoav Galant in connection with the tragedy at the Benjamin military base.

However, he also called on Israel to limit military actions in Lebanon and resume the negotiation process to end the conflict.
