Such a solution will allow young people to periodically visit their parents who remain in Ukraine. People’s Deputy from “Servant of the People” Oleksandr Fediyenko expressed his point of view on the departure of men under 22 years old on the air of the RanoK LIVE program on August 27, 2025.

He noted that the permission to leave will help Ukrainians who have left to maintain contact with those who stayed.

“Since the war began, those who wanted to leave have already done so,” he emphasized.

In addition, Fediyenko considers the decision positive, as young people will be able to see their parents who are unable to leave the country.

He also added that some students who went abroad face difficulties when returning to Ukraine and lose contact with their relatives.

“A person who lives in another country for a long time eventually begins to get used to the new reality and loses connection with Ukraine,” the deputy explained.

Fediyenko mentioned that students often do not know the real situation in Ukraine.

“Therefore, if they can return for holidays, it will help change their opinion. Maybe some will stay, and some will decide to return permanently,” he noted.

As it became known, the commander of the Dnipro 1 battalion, Yuriy Bereza, also spoke on this issue. He believes that to achieve victory in the war, it is necessary to unite internal forces. Bereza proposed mobilization from the age of 18 for all young people, regardless of gender.

The commander pointed to the Israeli experience, where the issue of conscription does not arise, as those who left the country cannot claim government positions or business. The military added that it is important for all young people to undergo appropriate training.

In addition, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine published information on the documents required for men aged 18-22 to travel abroad. They will need a foreign passport and a military registration document, which can be presented in paper or electronic form.
