The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in a statement on July 29, 2024 recommends to citizens of Ukraine refrain from traveling to Lebanon due to deteriorating security in the Middle East.
Citizens in Lebanon are advised to avoid crowded places, not to participate in demonstrations, strictly observe safety measures and rules for foreigners staying in the country, follow the legal requirements of law enforcement agencies, monitor local authorities' reports on the development of the situation and always carry identification documents.
Also, citizens of Ukraine are advised to refrain from traveling to the following territories:
– adjacent to the Syrian border;
– adjacent to the Israeli border south of the Litani River;
— to the refugee camps of Nahr al-Bared and Beddawi (near Tripoli), Ain al-Hilweh and Meer Meeh (near Saida);
– in the Bekaa Valley;
– to the southern outskirts of Beirut (Dahieh district).
In case of emergency and threat to life and health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that citizens of Ukraine immediately contact the Embassy of Ukraine in Lebanon by phone (+961) 5921668 or the 24-hour hotline of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine: +38-044-238-16-57.
