The Pentagon has confirmed the killing of Hezbollah commander Ali Musa Daqduk. According to Arab media, he was the target of an Israeli air force strike in Beirut on November 10. Dakduk is well known to American intelligence agencies. In 2007, he was arrested for a terrorist attack in Iraq, where he had contacts with Iran and the Quds Force.
For several years, Daqduk carried out assignments for Hezbollah in Syrian territory, setting up observation posts to monitor the Israeli border. In 2012, he was acquitted in Iraq, causing outrage in the American White House. Immediately after this, he returned to active activities with Hezbollah.
It turned out that Dakduk regularly moved around the region with fake IDs. The Israeli military has released photographs of such documents used by militants in Iraq, Lebanon and Syria.
