Today, August 7, the Israeli army issued orders to evacuate Palestinians from areas in northern Gaza that were attacked at the start of the war with Hamas in October.
Militants fired rockets into Israel, prompting an Israeli invasion. Army spokesman Avichai Adraei issued evacuation orders for Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahia, two ruined towns that Israeli tanks rolled into.
“Hamas and other terrorist organizations are attacking Israel. The IDF will act for your safety. Evacuate to shelters in Gaza,” the message to the Palestinians said.
