The IRGC has accused Israel of killing another Iranian general.

A senior Iranian military adviser, General Pourhashemi, who commanded the Iranian advisers in Aleppo, was killed in Syria. It was eliminated by the armed forces of the Syrian opposition, which led to accusations by the IRGC against Israel. On November 27, rebels launched an offensive in northwest Aleppo, the biggest attack since March 2020.

The attack was in response to attacks on Idlib and an increase in the number of Syrian troops along the front line. As a result of the clashes, more than 50 Syrian soldiers were killed, while the republic's army announced heavy losses among the militants.

Russian military channels noted that the attack came as a surprise to Syrian forces and that the army was resisting the attack together with friendly forces.
