The IDF and Shin Bet killed senior IS terrorists, preventing a terrorist attack. Details and photos have not yet been released.

The IDF and Shin Bet announced the elimination of two battalion commanders of the terrorist organization Islamic Jihad in an operation carried out yesterday (Thursday). The attack, carried out by the Israeli Air Force with the support of Shin Bet and Aman intelligence, targeted a command complex disguised in a humanitarian facility in Deir el-Balah, used by Hamas and ISIS terrorists.

Among the terrorists killed was Abdullah Khattab, commander of the ISIS Southern Deir el-Balah Battalion, who was actively involved in terrorist activities against Israel, including the October 7 attacks in the Gaza Strip area. Also killed was Hatem Abu Al-Jadian, commander of the Eastern Deir el-Balah Battalion, who was responsible for a series of attacks against IDF forces.

The Israeli military stressed that measures had been taken before the attack to minimize harm to civilians. Meanwhile, IDF forces continue to be active in the Philadelphi Corridor, which borders Egypt. Satellite images released on September 7 show recent infrastructure changes, including the construction of a new road along the corridor.

Images taken in late August and early September show the IDF using heavy machinery to build a two-lane road designed to improve logistics and troop movement. Video footage from the site shows excavators and bulldozers actively involved in the project. The 12.5-kilometer-long Philadelphi Corridor is a strategically important section through which major supply routes pass.
