Israeli citizens who attended a Europa League match in Amsterdam on November 7 were attacked with Palestinian flags. Police detained almost 60 attackers, and more than a dozen people were injured. According to Israel News, violence occurred that evening, including the use of knives.

After the game with Ajax, there was a planned attack on Maccabi Tel Aviv fans on the streets of the city and even in hotels. Groups of Muslims with Palestinian flags waited for the Israelis in various places in Amsterdam. According to the material on the publication’s website, attempts by masked people to enter hotels where Israelis were staying were recorded.

Ten people, possibly 12 according to other sources, were injured. Footage from the scene shows attackers using their fists and feet against people in the street. Unknown people not only used knives, but also tried to hit Israeli tourists with cars.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reacted to Israeli unrest in Europe by announcing the need to evacuate citizens. At the moment, the population of the city of Amsterdam has been sent on two evacuation flights.

According to information from the Israeli publication Ynet, on Friday morning the IDF issued a statement about its readiness to send a rescue mission in cooperation with the Dutch government. “The mission will be carried out by transport aircraft and will include medical and rescue teams.” It is reported that about 60 rioters were detained.
