The Dubai-based airline has introduced a ban on the carriage of lithium-ion batteries in passengers' carry-on luggage.

One of the world's largest airlines, Emirates Airlines, has banned passengers from bringing pagers and walkie-talkies on board aircraft. The decision applies to all travelers traveling through Dubai and imposes a strict ban on the carriage of such devices in both carry-on and checked luggage. Airline staff will confiscate any carried devices.

In addition, Emirates has canceled all flights to or from Jordan, Iraq, Iran and Lebanon until Monday. Flights to and from Beirut are also temporarily suspended. This decision is related to a series of explosions that occurred in Lebanon in September. About 40 people were killed and almost five thousand were injured as a result of the explosions.

The incident in Lebanon was associated with the actions of Hezbollah militants who use pagers and walkie-talkies for communication. Beirut blamed Israel for the “pager attack”, which led to a tense situation in the region. Emirates takes strict measures to ensure safety and prevent such situations on its flights.
