According to preliminary estimates by the Central Bureau of Statistics, the average wage in the Israeli economy decreased by 1.5% over the month, amounting to NIS 13,000 in November. This is the second drop in a row compared to September, when the average salary reached 13,500 shekels.
The high-tech sector also saw a 1% decline in average salaries, falling from NIS 31,200 in September to NIS 30,900 in October. However, the number of jobs in the economy still remained below 4 million, increasing 1.4% from October to November, to 3.999 million.
Jobs in the high-tech sector also decreased by 1%, from 402.3 thousand in September to 398.2 thousand in October. However, the share of this sector in the total number of jobs remained at 10.1%.
