“I am here to condemn the genocide in Gaza. It is important to understand that it is disgraceful when violence is accepted as a normal occurrence,” — stated Bardem,

The Collective Position of Filmmakers
On the eve of the event, 3,900 representatives of the film industry signed an open letter calling for a boycott of Israeli institutions that they believe are involved in crimes against the Palestinian people. This action was a response to widespread outrage in the industry regarding the ongoing conflict.
