On a busy street in Holon, tragedy almost struck when a piece of a rocket fell just a few centimeters from passing people.

The events in Holon on October 15, 2024 showed that air defense does not provide complete protection against missiles and people need to observe safety measures even after the siren goes off. As a result of the missile interception in Holon, a large piece of debris fell onto the street where two people on a motorcycle were riding, but they narrowly escaped being hit.

Air raid sirens went off in central Israel after several rocket attacks from Lebanon. Air raid alerts sounded in greater Tel Aviv and in several dozen settlements from Caesarea to Lachish. The IDF confirmed the launch of several rockets into the center of the country; the missiles were intercepted at high altitude.
