North under attack by Hezbollah terrorists

Hezbollah has begun shelling Israeli cities in the Western Galilee, firing dozens of rockets. According to N12, about 50 shells have damaged the northern part of the country, and air defenses are currently intercepting air targets. This is believed to be retaliation for the attack on militants that killed five.

Hezbollah also previously carried out rocket attacks on northern Israel in late July. One of the shells hit Kibbutz HaGoshrim, where one person was injured. A 30-year-old civilian was killed when a yard of a house was fired at. Cursor previously reported on Israel warning Hezbollah terrorists about a possible full-scale war in the event of large-scale attacks.

Israel is focused on eliminating Hezbollah commanders and fighters, not on destroying the group's infrastructure. The IDF is actively preparing for possible attacks from terrorists and Iranian forces. Defense policy does not envisage changes in response to the expected escalation of tensions from Hezbollah and Iran.
