On February 2, 2026, a short video appeared on the Chief rabbi of Ukraine / Головний Рабин України page with the theme: “How the war in Iran is connected to the war in Ukraine”. The author addresses the audience on the road, essentially commenting on a debate he hears around him: whether it is beneficial for Ukraine that Israel and the USA are striking Iran.
“I’m driving and listening… There are experts. They say, is it good for Ukraine that Israel and the USA are bombing Iran. Let me tell you a few words.”
He immediately clarifies that he is not an “expert,” but wants to explain his logic as simply as possible.
“I’m not a big expert… Let’s break it down simply.”
“Israel for Ukraine… has done several big things”
The main line of the video is the idea that strikes on Iranian and related military infrastructure reduce the resources that could work for Russia in the war against Ukraine.
“Israel for Ukraine… bederachagav (דרך אגב — “by the way”)… with one touch did several big things.”
He then connects this to the weakening of Moscow’s positions in the region:
“The Syrian regime fell… Russia lost its influence in the Middle… (East).”
And then he moves on to the most “practical” part — the destruction of equipment and production:
“Israel bombed… more than 50 planes… MiGs… ships… weapons… factories… Shahed drones.”
And the key phrase for which he lists all this:
“This is already a big help. These planes, (this) weapon would have been transferred to Ukraine. For killing Ukrainians.”
In the editorial office of NAnews — Israel News | Nikk.Agency they note: in this logic, Israel in the video is considered not as “gave” or “did not give” something directly to Ukraine, but as a party that cuts off the resource base of the arms supplier for Russia.
“Who gave the technology to Russia? Who sold the ‘Shaheds’?”
The second supporting part of the address is a direct accusation of Iran for feeding the Russian war with technology and drones.
“Let me remind you. Where they were manufactured. Who gave the technology to Russia. Who sold the ‘Shaheds’.”
He separately discusses the effect on the level of people’s lives and infrastructure:
“‘Shaheds’ kill people… (hit) Ukrainian infrastructure.”
And then he adds another painful point, which is remembered in Ukraine as a tragedy:
“Who shot down the Ukrainian plane over Tehran.”
This sounds like an emotional insert — not analytics, but a reminder of why Iran is not an abstract “geopolitics” for him personally.
“Thank you USA… thank you Israel”: a block of gratitude and a finale about the “axis of evil”
A separate fragment of the video is gratitude to those who strike Iran. In the transcription, he lists both countries, politicians, and military personnel.
“Thank you USA. Thank you Israel. … . Thank you pilots… Israeli… American.”
And he adds a formulation that explains why he considers these actions “working for us”:
“Who do such precise work for us.”
He then describes Iran as a key element of the “axis of evil” (he directly uses this image), and says that the fall of the regime is not only about Iran, but about further pressure on Russia:
“I want to wish for the Iranian regime to fall. For the people of Iran to be free. And for Ukraine… remains – Russia – deprived of its axis of evil.”
And another important phrase — already about the consequences for Moscow:
“Russia will lose the axis of evil. This is very important.”
He consciously avoids the topic of oil in this video, although he acknowledges that the topic exists:
“I’m not talking about oil.”
The finale is a religious-moral framework, where he connects what is happening with the idea of retribution:
“The Almighty wants to bring justice here… and give retribution and punishment to the villains and criminals.”
And he ends with the most direct political formula:
“Everything will be fine. Glory to Ukraine. Glory to Israel. Glory to the USA. …”
