Lebanon's Foreign Minister has informed his Egyptian counterpart of the steps being taken to soften Hezbollah's possible reaction to the elimination of its leader.
He stressed that he was trying to avoid a major conflict and prevent irreversible consequences. At the same time, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry condemned Israel's actions in Gaza, working together with the United States to resolve the situation and prevent a new conflict in southern Lebanon.
The position of Lebanon and Egypt on the conflict in the region is clear – both countries seek to prevent the escalation of military confrontation and minimize the potential risk of new clashes. Diplomatic efforts are aimed at finding ways of dialogue and conflict resolution in order to ensure peace and stability in the Middle East.
