Israeli officials are criticizing the decision of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, which on November 21 issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, The Times of Israel reports.
“This is modern anti-Semitism under the guise of justice… Israel will not apologize for protecting its citizens. This is not a crime, it is our national and moral duty,” Transport Minister Miri Regev wrote on social media.
Minister of the Negev, Galilee and National Resilience Itzhak Wasserlauf called the warrants “anti-Semitic accusations against all citizens of Israel,” and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir expressed a similar reaction.
Earlier on November 21, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. According to the court's website, they are suspected of committing war crimes in the Gaza Strip.
