Israel is ready to launch a war against the Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah within four to six weeks, sources tell The Jerusalem Post.
Since the Hamas attack in the south of the country on October 7, 2023, Hezbollah has been shelling northern Israel in support of Palestinian terrorists. More than 100,000 Israeli citizens have been unable to return home for almost a year, and the Israeli government has included “bringing the people of the North and South home” among the main goals of the current war in Gaza.
Military analysts say the four-to-six-week deadline is due to the onset of the winter season, which will make fighting in Lebanon's mountainous regions much more difficult. Some experts say the announcement was made primarily to persuade the United States to increase pressure on Hezbollah.
