Dnipropetrovsk region entered the top three regions of Ukraine in terms of the number of company owners with an annual turnover of over 10 million hryvnias. For the Israeli audience, this statistic does not sound abstract: behind the numbers are partners, suppliers, logistics, markets where businesses with Israeli roots operate.
The study is based on open financial reporting data.
How entrepreneurs are distributed by region
Kyiv is ahead, Dnipro is right behind the capital
According to the analytical service, there are 67,651 entrepreneurs in the country whose companies exceed the 10 million UAH income mark per year. This is almost a fifth of all those who submitted reports.
The highest concentration is in Kyiv, about 22%.
Dnipropetrovsk region ranks second with a share of 10%. Next is Lviv region with 8%.
Together with Kyiv and Odesa regions, these territories accumulate about half of the country’s large private business.
The scale that remains ‘medium’
At the same time, the overwhelming majority of entrepreneurs operate more modestly. About 80% of companies have turnovers up to 100 million UAH per year.
Only about two percent exceed the billion mark.
Who forms the top part of the ranking
The entry threshold to the elite
To enter the top hundred largest, the total business income must exceed almost nine billion hryvnias. For the first thousand, it is over a billion.
This is already the level of transnational chains, exports, and global financial instruments.
Familiar names and international geography
The top positions are occupied by Rinat Akhmetov, Vitaliy Antonov, Yuriy Kosiuk. Among the top ten participants is also an entrepreneur associated with Israel β Ari Weber.
It is such figures that form the bridge between economies.
When the editorial team of NAnews β News of Israel | Nikk.Agency analyzes such reports, attention is paid not only to the sums but also to the origin of capitals, jurisdictions, and investment directions. Israel regularly appears in this picture β as a point of residence, management, or future expansion.
Why the region holds its positions
Industry and routes
Dnipropetrovsk remains a powerful industrial hub. Production, transport corridors, energy, agro-sector β all this supports a high density of large businesses.
Even in wartime conditions, the region continues to generate turnover, attract projects, and retain investors.
What this means for the Israeli market
For companies and funds in Israel, such dynamics are an indicator of stability. The presence of a large number of entrepreneurs with significant revenue means the preservation of management personnel, contracts, and recovery potential.
Economic geography is formed not only by capitals.
And Dnipro in this system remains one of the key nodes.
