Israel has decided to change the sound of ambulance sirens to avoid confusion with air raid sirens.

MDA Director General Eli Bin has called on ambulance crews to minimise the use of the air raid siren. The order also applies to ambulances.

The goal is to avoid panic among the population by preventing possible excitement when hearing such a signal. Drivers are allowed to use other signaling means to ensure mobility and work safety.

The instructions were released on Thursday, August 1. The management emphasized the importance of providing assistance to the population without provoking panic.

This will ensure the efficient operation of ambulance crews and minimize possible negative consequences for residents waiting for medical assistance. Patient mobility and safety remain a management priority.
