Israel has called protecting its security a top priority for its army.

Air Force Commander Tomer Bar announced that the Israeli army is preparing for a potential border crossing into Lebanon. The army's priority is to prevent the supply of weapons from Iran to Lebanese territory to the Hezbollah group. On Thursday, September 26, Tomer Bar announced this and added that preparations for the ground maneuver are already underway in the northern parts of Israel.

The commander stressed that the army's goal is to “prevent any possibility of weapons transfer from Iran.” If necessary, Israel's operation could extend to Northern Lebanon. Last week, Israel carried out heavy airstrikes on Lebanon, marked as the worst since 2006.

In addition, it is said that the IDF is attacking the houses of local residents where Hezbollah weapons may be hiding, warning them with messages about evacuation. All these measures are being taken in response to the growing threat from Lebanon.
