The Israeli army has called on residents of the northern Khan Yunis neighborhood to leave immediately ahead of a new military operation in the Gaza Strip city.
The Khan Yunis al-Jala area will no longer be considered part of the humanitarian zone due to “significant terrorist activity” there, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on August 11.
The IDF stressed that the civilian population of Al-Jali must move to the renovated humanitarian zone. The IDF said that residents were informed of this through SMS, phone calls, leaflets and other messages in Arabic.

The report, which is quoted by the Israeli press, specifies that the military operation will be carried out on the basis of precise intelligence data.
