November 19, 2024 marked 1,000 days since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This day became an occasion for Israel to express support for the Ukrainian people.
On the 1000th day of the war in Ukraine, Israel expressed support through statements by its leaders and actions of solidarity. Israeli President Isaac Herzog emphasized solidarity with the Ukrainian people, expressing hope for a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the position on the territorial integrity of Ukraine, and Israeli Embassy in Ukraine focused on providing humanitarian, medical and psychological assistance. Tel Aviv City Hall illuminated the building in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, symbolizing unity.
On the same day, a rally was held at the Russian embassy in Israel, organized by Israel Friends of Ukraine, whose participants condemned Russian aggression and emphasized the common struggle of Ukraine and Israel against terrorism.

Solidarity actions in Israel
On the 1000th day of the war, Tel Aviv became a symbol of support for Ukraine.
- Tel Aviv City Hall was illuminated in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, which became a bright gesture of solidarity.
- Embassy of Ukraine in Israel expressed gratitude to Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai and the Israelis for their support.
“This demonstrates the friendship between our peoples and reminds us that Israel and Ukraine are shoulder to shoulder in the struggle for freedom,” – noted at the Ukrainian Embassy.

On this day, a rally was held near the Russian Embassy in Israel, organized by “Israeli Friends of Ukraine“. Its participants condemned Russian aggression and initiatives to include Russia in world peacekeeping processes.
“Two fronts, one common enemy – terrorism,” – said the organizers, emphasizing the similarity of the situations in Ukraine and Israel.
The rally also recalled the suffering:
- Ukrainian soldiers remain in Russian prisons.
- Israeli citizens continue to be held captive by Hamas.
The organizers called for unity in the fight against global terrorism, noting that both countries are confronting the “axis of evil.”
