Israel does not agree with the competence of the International Criminal Court – there will be an appeal

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with US Senator Lindsey Graham in Jerusalem to discuss initiatives against the International Criminal Court in The Hague and countries collaborating with it. In response, Israel filed a notice to drop the arrest warrants for two senior officials, calling them “far-fetched” and “no force” in the state.

Israel's Prime Minister's Ministry warns the ICC of bias against Israel, stressing that the decision on the appeal will be important for the country's reputation on the international stage. Benjamin Netanyahu has decided on further steps on this issue.

The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Galant for alleged crimes against humanity between October 8, 2023 and May 20, 2024, including depriving Gazans of essential goods and services. The country, a former Soviet republic, is also preparing to execute Netanyahu's arrest warrant.
