The threat of an Iranian attack on Israel remains a reality, a Pentagon spokesman said today. U.S. forces in the Middle East are on high alert.
He noted: “The Iranians have clearly stated their plans to attack. I will not specify the date, but we must take this threat seriously and be prepared to repel it.”
He stressed that it is necessary to continue to take seriously the potential threat from Iran and prepare for possible defense. In light of such statements and actions from Iran, American forces are in constant readiness to act to ensure the security of the region and its allies.
Ryder did not elaborate, but stressed the importance of taking the threat seriously and being prepared to defend ourselves.
