Iran and France will hold talks on a peace settlement in Lebanon.

Iran agreed to negotiations with France on a possible truce in Lebanon and the implementation of UN Resolution 1701.

The speaker of the Iranian parliament, Mohammad Ghalibaf, expressed his readiness to discuss the details and emphasized that negotiations with Israel directly are inappropriate.

Ghalibaf, who had previously attracted international attention for his actions, personally flew the plane that landed in Beirut. He held meetings with Lebanese officials and visited areas affected by Israeli attacks. The politician expressed his readiness to move forward through negotiations with France, a country that supports Lebanon.
