An Israeli travel company offers tours to the Syrian part of Hermon, which is now under IDF control. The hike is scheduled for May 31 and includes bus support and a cable car, the length of the route is 12-18 km. The tour is only suitable for people in good health.
Travelers will be able to see the panorama from the top of Mount Hermon at an altitude of 2814 meters, which recently opened to Israeli tourists. The route description talks about the spectacle of three countries, two valleys and endless skies. The organizers promise to show abandoned bunkers and ancient observation posts on the mountain.
One of the company's executives said that they were trying to negotiate with the IDF about permission to go on the campaign. In response to a comment that Syrian Hermon is not entirely Israeli territory, it was said that the tour company sometimes obtains permits to enter closed military zones.
