The Forum of Families of Hostages and Missing Persons expressed sadness over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's upcoming visit to New York for the UN General Assembly. The forum's statement noted that in the context of the crisis and the ongoing escalation of the conflict, Netanyahu chooses to travel to the United States, ignoring the problems inside the country.

Netanyahu is expected to arrive in New York the following day, accompanied by his wife, and will address the UN General Assembly on Friday. After the speech, the prime minister plans to return to Israel on Saturday evening, given the end of the Jewish Sabbath, according to sources.

Earlier it was reported that due to the escalation of the situation between Israel and Hezbollah, Netanyahu's flight was rescheduled for Thursday. Despite this, according to an unnamed official, there is a possibility that 50% of the trip will be cancelled, the reasons for which are not disclosed. According to the same source, the prime minister's speech will be devoted to the Iranian threat.
