Hezbollah commander responsible for the deaths of children in Majdal Shams has been attacked in Lebanon.

The IDF Spokesperson's Office confirmed a strike on a target in Beirut that targeted a Hezbollah commander responsible for the deaths of children in Majdal Shams.

Israel claimed responsibility for the attack.

The IDF reported that at this time, the Home Front Command's instructions to the public have not changed and that changes will be announced through official media.

At around 8:00 p.m., Lebanese media reported an explosion in the southern Beirut suburb of Dahiya. Preliminary reports indicate that a missile was launched from an IDF drone at an apartment in a multi-story residential building.

The strike killed two people. According to Israeli media, the target of the attack was Haji Mukhsan, a military adviser to Hassan Nasrallah.

The liquidated one is the number two in the Hezbollah hierarchy, Hajj Mohsan.

Authorities in northern Israel have called on residents to be prepared for escalation and shelling from Lebanon.
