Members of the Egoz unit prevented the kidnapping of an IDF soldier who died in a border area of southern Lebanon in a clash with Hezbollah militants. A group of special forces entered the building, which was blown up by militants who were waiting for them in ambush. After the detonation, several soldiers were injured, but the building was surrounded and the militants were destroyed.
Anti-tank missiles were fired at the building where the military was located, which led to numerous casualties among IDF soldiers.
