Hassan Nasrallah's successor Naim Qassem issued a statement about Hezbollah's readiness to implement the ceasefire agreement with Israel. Qasem recorded his speech at an unknown location, maintaining the secret of his whereabouts. He said that the organization emerged victorious from the war, despite heavy blows.
However, Qassem's statement also included an acknowledgment that Hezbollah has suffered heavy blows and that it must learn from the past war. The Secretary General promised help to refugees from southern Lebanon, allocating them funds for housing and furniture. In general, the speech of the head of the organization gave the impression of defeat, not victory.
Kassem also touched upon the Syrian issue, accusing the United States and Israel of instigating the offensive of the “caliphates.” At the same time, he assured that Hezbollah will try to contain this offensive. At the same time, US intelligence doubts Hezbollah's recovery potential and sees serious problems in Iran's overall offensive capabilities.
