Hamas requests 7 days of truce as part of exchange talks

A Hamas delegation arrived to negotiate with Islamists in Qatar. Despite the participation of Islamic Jihad leaders, serious divisions remain due to Hamas' excessive demands.

The main demands are the withdrawal of Israeli troops from several areas and the release of militants.

Yesterday it became known that Hamas is ready for a limited exchange of prisoners before the inauguration of the US President. They demand 7 days of cessation of hostilities in order to hand over a list of prisoners for release. Israel's position on this issue is not yet clear.
