Google unveils top queries for 2024

Google users have shown an active interest in US politics and climate disasters this year. According to a digest from Google Trends, US elections and natural disasters were among the most popular queries.

The top five news stories included the US election, the Paris Olympics, extreme heat, Hurricane Milton and Typhoon Shanshan.

The most popular searches in 2024 were Donald Trump, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden. Also in the top were Catherine, Princess of Wales, who is battling cancer, and Algerian athlete Iman Khelif, who was bullied on the Internet because of her genes.

The most searched for musicians was P. Diddy, and the most searched for actors was Katt Williams. “Inside Out 2” was the most popular film, and “Fawn” was the series generating the most interest.
