Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Taras Kachka held a meeting with President of Israel Isaac Herzog. The main focus was on Ukraine’s security and how Israeli experience can help in conditions of constant threats.
The visit is intense; the schedule is tight, and each block of negotiations turned out to be more important than the previous one.

Kachka held separate talks with government and Knesset representatives. According to him, the openness of the Israeli side and the willingness to discuss defense resilience issues is a signal that Kyiv has long awaited.
Herzog, for his part, spoke of hope for the swift restoration of peace and wished the Ukrainian society endurance — especially now, when strikes on critical infrastructure remain a daily reality.

Israel’s Ambassador to Ukraine Michael Brodsky emphasized that Kachka’s visit was the first at such a level in four years. In diplomatic practice, this is considered a clear sign of a reset in bilateral dynamics.
The areas of discussion go far beyond security: from agriculture and food sustainability to investment mechanisms and financial instruments.

The security issue was conducted as a separate line. Herzog expressed condolences to the families of those killed as a result of missile strikes on Ukraine’s energy system. The topic of protecting critical infrastructure was discussed in detail, with an emphasis on technologies that Israel is ready to consider for joint projects.

Simultaneously, Kachka held negotiations with Minister of Economy Nir Barkat — discussing the possibility of accelerated exchange of innovations and expansion of projects for the Ukrainian market.
With Minister of Agriculture Avi Dichter, the situation in Ukraine’s agricultural sector and prospects for cooperation were discussed.
