The UK Foreign Office has urged staff to leave its embassy in Beirut, Lebanon.

“The UK said the reason for the withdrawal of the staff was the unstable security situation in Lebanon,” The Times of Israel notes. The UK Foreign Office also called on all its citizens to leave Lebanon. Due to the deteriorating security in the region, Ukraine also called on its citizens to refrain from traveling to Lebanon.

The media also noted that several countries called on their citizens to leave Lebanon due to tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.
