Arab countries have asked Hezbollah to delay the attack on Israel until August 15 so as not to disrupt the deal.

Lebanon's Al Jadeed reported that the US and Arab officials had contacted Hezbollah and asked it to delay the strike on Israel beyond August 15, pending a summit to resume talks on a hostage deal.

Arab officials urge Lebanon to negotiate to avoid blame. Hezbollah has not yet responded to the request. They are attacking in response to the killing of the Hamas leader.

American officials are planning visits to the region to support the hostage deal and prevent an escalation of the conflict, the timing and extent of which are unknown. “Our priority is to establish a lasting ceasefire in Gaza,” the Iranian embassy said.
