Three peacekeepers on patrol in southern Lebanon were slightly injured when an explosion hit their UN vehicle in the village of Yarine. All peacekeepers returned safely to base and an investigation into the incident has been launched, a UNIFIL spokesman said. The organization reminded all parties of their responsibility for the safety of peacekeepers and civilians.
In response to an Israeli airstrike overnight, Hezbollah fired about 55 rockets at a kibbutz in northern Israel. The IDF said the attack targeted a terrorist weapons depot. The rocket fires set fires in 10 communities, but there were no reports of casualties. Two IDF soldiers were also wounded in a Hezbollah drone strike.
The drone attack left one soldier in serious condition and another lightly wounded. Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack.
